Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination conducts the JKCET – Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test. The admit card will be released by JKBOPEE on the official website around two weeks before the exam is scheduled.
The JKCET admit card will contain certain details like the candidate’s name, date of birth, roll number, photograph, signature, exam schedule and venue details. Candidates will have to check these thoroughly and notify the exam conducting authority, JKBOPSEE immediately in case of any discrepancy.
Candidates can follow the sections below to get a clearer picture on the details to be checked on the JKCET admit card.
Candidate’s Name
The very first thing that the candidates will have to check is that if their name is printed correctly on the admit card or not. Candidates will have to keep it in mind that they will have to carry an identity proof to the exam hall on the day of the exam. Their name on the admit card must match with their name of all official documents identically. Thus candidates are advised to check the spelling of their name, surname and middle name (if any) very carefully as soon as they have downloaded the admit card from the official website. Any prefix will not be included in the name on the admit card.
Candidates must note that if there is any discrepancy in the name, they must report it to the exam conducting authorities immediately. They will not be allowed to sit for the exam if their name is not corrected on the admit card.
Candidate’s Date of Birth
The next detail that is of paramount importance is the candidate’s date of birth. Just like the candidate’s name, the date of birth has to be identical as in all official documents. The date of birth will be given in the format of dd-mm-yyyy. Candidates must check all three components of the date of birth – the date, the month and the year for any error.
The date of birth entered by the candidate should be the same as recorded in the candidate’s class X board exam’s admit card. Any discrepancy in the date of birth on the JKCET admit card might lead to the candidate being debarred from sitting for the exam. Candidates must contact the concerned exam authority for any changes that are going to be needed for the correction in the candidate’s date of birth (if any).
Candidate’s Roll Number or Application Number
After the candidate has completed the application process, an unique application and roll number will be generated for him or her. This application number is very important in perspective of the JKCET admission process. Candidates will have to refer to this for any communication regarding the application or exam process.
The application and roll number will be recorded on the admit card. Candidates must note that this number has to be the same as the one they have received for their application form. Since this number will be used for all future references related to the candidate’s admission, candidates must put in extra care to check if this number is mentioned correctly on the admit card or not. They will have to cross check it with the application form details for verifying the same.
Candidate’s Photograph
During the application process, candidates will have to submit a recently clicked, coloured passport size photograph of themselves to complete the application process. The same photograph will be added to the candidate’s admit card.
Once the candidate has received the admit card, he or she must check if the photograph given on the admit card is his or her or not. The photograph has to be clear and show the candidate’s face properly. It also has to be aligned properly on the space given for the photograph. Thus the candidate must ensure that the photograph on the admit card is aligned properly and that their face is clearly visible on the admit card.
The photograph on the admit card will be used for verification purposes in the exam hall. Thus in case of any discrepancy, the candidate must contact the exam conducting authorities and get all necessary corrections done.
Candidate’s Signature
Candidates will have to submit their signature along with the application form. The candidates will have to make sure that the signature is legible and is done in blue or black ball point pen. The signature must be done on a white background.
Candidates will have to sign on an attendance sheet in the exam hall. This signature will be checked for with the one in the admit card. Thus this will be a verification process for all candidates. Candidates will have to make sure that these two match.
Exam Schedule
JKCET will be conducted in more than one slot. Candidates will be given a choice to opt for their preferred time slot during the application process. This time slot will be mentioned in the admit card.
Candidates will have to note that while the exam conducting body will try their best to accommodate all possible candidates to their first preferred time slot, JKBOPEE cannot guarantee the same. Thus candidates must note down the time slot very carefully and keep a note of it for smooth running on the exam day.
Exam Centre Address
Candidates will have to fill in their preferred exam centre from the list of given examcentres while filling up the JKCET application form. Candidates will have to make note of the fact that while the exam conducting body will try their best to accommodate all possible candidates to their first preferred exam centre, JKBOPEE cannot guarantee the same.
The allocated exam centre will be mentioned on the admit card. The address of the exam centre will also be mentioned. Candidates must make note of the same very carefully and reach the venue at least an before the commencement of the exam on the exam day.
In case the candidate has any complaints regarding the allocated exam centre, he or she must contact the exam conducting body and request them for a venue change. JKBOPEE however cannot guarantee the same.
